Re-Elect Ira Jourdain District 6 School Board
I am so thankful for the opportunity and responsibility that Minneapolis Public Schools families have entrusted me to represent them in my first term. I am running for re-election because we need to keep practical and principled leadership on our board.
I am running for re-election because now more than ever we need to keep practical decision makers on the school board. As a practical decision maker it was practical for children to have thirty minutes of recess, remove toxic tire mulch from playgrounds, protect class size during a $33M deficit to keep as much funding in our middle and high schools. If you’re a delegate to the Minneapolis DFL Convention, I’m asking you for your vote. District 6 represents more than one in every three high school and middle school students and nearly one in four elementary students in Minneapolis Public Schools. That means your vote at the City Convention will make an impact on more than 9,800 students in our district.
